Aeroflex/Andover’s two approaches—one RNAV (GPS) and one VOR—serve the same runway end. Instrument procedure coverage is therefore concentrated on a single direction, with no published approach to the opposite end. The 1,981 ft runway makes available length a significant constraint for fixed-wing aircraft, while the two separately designated 20 ft helicopter areas distinguish helicopter operations from the main strip.
Nearby Blairstown, Sussex and Greenwood Lake each have similarly thin procedure sets, while Lincoln Park’s coverage is also close in scale. Morristown Municipal stands apart with a much broader chart collection. The New York Sectional adds wider VFR context, the Terminal Area Chart supplies greater detail for the surrounding terminal region, and the Helicopter Route Chart adds routing information specific to helicopter traffic.

No — Aeroflex/Andover has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
