Walden-Jackson County’s two RNAV (GPS) approaches both serve a single runway end, concentrating published instrument access in one direction rather than across the airport’s four ends. The set also includes an obstacle departure procedure, but no airport diagram. Runway 04/22 provides the longer asphalt alignment at 5,900 ft; runway 17/35 is 4,020 ft and turf, making it a materially different option rather than a like-for-like alternative.
Laramie Regional has the broadest nearby procedure set, with ten charts; Yampa Valley follows with eight. Steamboat Springs/Bob Adams Field, Mc Elroy Airfield and Granby-Grand County are closer to Walden’s compact four-chart coverage. The Cheyenne Sectional adds the VFR portrayal around Walden that the instrument procedures do not provide.

CTAF 122.9. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.
Walden-Jackson County has 2 runways. The longest is 04/22 at 5,900 ft by 75 ft, asphalt. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.
No ILS is published. In total 33V has 2 published instrument approaches, of which 2 are RNAV (GPS).
Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.
The field elevation is 8,153 ft. At that height the air is thin enough to matter: take-off and landing distances are longer than the same aircraft would need at sea level, and the effect worsens as temperature rises. The approach charts carry the altitudes that apply.
No — Walden-Jackson County has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
