A narrowly focused instrument set

Frasca Field has just one published instrument procedure, a VOR approach, with no airport diagram or separate departure charts. Instrument coverage therefore offers no choice of approach type. The two runway alignments provide different options, but only 09/27 is concrete; aircraft requiring a paved runway have no alternative alignment.

Nearby chart coverage and VFR context

University of Illinois/Willard and Decatur have much broader procedure sets, while Rantoul and Vermilion Regional also carry appreciably more coverage. Paxton is closest to Frasca Field in chart-set size, though it still has twice as many published procedures. The Chicago and St Louis sectional charts add the wider VFR context that the single airport-specific procedure cannot provide.
