Approach coverage across both runways

Central Illinois Regional’s procedure set serves all four ends of its two runway alignments. The mix of ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures provides several forms of instrument guidance, while CAT II/III minima are published for one ILS. This is broad coverage across the layout rather than a set concentrated on a single runway end. Runway 02/20 is 1,475 ft longer than 11/29, giving the field a clearly differentiated longer-runway option.

Regional chart context

None of the nearby fields has comparable chart coverage: Rantoul has the broadest nearby set with six charts, Logan County, Pontiac and Pekin each have four, and Paxton has two. The Chicago Sectional adds wider VFR planning context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
