Approach and runway coverage

Dupont/Lapeer has three approaches divided between only two of its four runway ends, so half of the available directions have no published instrument procedure. The two RNAV (GPS) approaches provide the main procedure choice, with one VOR approach as the conventional alternative. The 3,800 ft asphalt runway offers just over twice the length of the 1,879 ft turf runway, making the latter relevant only where that shorter distance is sufficient.

Regional chart context

Oakland County International and Bishop International have much broader procedure collections, while Marlette Township, Romeo State and Tuscola Area have chart coverage closer to Dupont/Lapeer’s compact set. The Detroit Sectional adds broader visual and geographic context beyond the procedure-specific instrument charts.
