GPS coverage at both ends

Arnold AFB’s instrument set is compact but balanced: its two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve both ends of runway 03/21, so coverage is not concentrated on a single direction. There is no second runway alignment; the 6,000 ft runway is the sole strip, while the published airport diagram supplies ground-layout detail alongside the two procedures.

Coverage around Tullahoma

Every listed nearby field has a larger procedure set than AYX. KSYI is the clear outlier for breadth, with 13 charts; KTHA has six, KBGF and KFYM five each, and KRNC four, making the latter group much closer to AYX’s limited coverage. The Atlanta Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation setting around Tullahoma that the airport diagram and runway-specific instrument procedures do not provide.
