Luce County’s procedure set is narrowly focused: both approaches are RNAV (GPS), and only two of the airport’s four runway ends are served. This leaves the remaining ends without published approaches, while no airport diagram is provided. The 4,304 ft asphalt runway is 1,448 ft longer than the crossing turf runway, so the shorter strip does not offer equivalent runway length when using its different alignment.
Chippewa County Intl has notably broader chart coverage than Luce County, with nine published charts. Schoolcraft County, Beaver Island and Mackinac Island match Luce County’s four-chart total, while Mackinac County is slightly thinner at three. The Green Bay and Lake Huron sectionals add wider VFR context beyond the field’s limited instrument procedure coverage.
