Go PROLake Huron and Georgian Bay dominate this sheet, with coverage extending across northern Michigan, southern and central Ontario, and towards the eastern end of Lake Ontario. The landscape shifts from broad expanses of open water and intricate island-strewn shorelines to the wooded Canadian Shield north of Georgian Bay. Farther south, the country becomes more settled and agricultural, while Michigan’s peninsulas divide the surrounding Great Lakes waters.
The adjoining coverage reflects the chart’s position at the centre of the Great Lakes region. Green Bay continues west, while Detroit takes routes south through lower Michigan and southern Ontario. Chicago joins at the south-western side. Eastbound coverage passes to Montreal, with New York adjoining to the south-east. These connections are particularly relevant to longer journeys following the lakes, crossing the international border region, or continuing between the Great Lakes and the St Lawrence corridor.
