Felker AAF’s two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve only one runway end, so the instrument coverage is directional rather than balanced across Runway 14/32. One procedure is for helicopters, matching the separate 100 ft H1 landing area, while the 3,025 ft runway provides the field’s sole conventional alignment. The airport diagram is particularly useful for distinguishing these two paved movement areas.
Nearby procedure coverage varies considerably. Newport News/Williamsburg International and Langley AFB have the broadest chart sets in the group, each with roughly three times Felker’s coverage. Waltrip Williamsburg Executive Airport has comparable coverage, while Camp Peary Landing Strip is slightly thinner. The Washington Sectional adds the wider VFR context around Fort Eustis that the airport-specific instrument procedures do not show.
