Approach and runway coverage

Hampton Roads Executive’s three approach plates serve only two of its four runway ends. The set provides two RNAV (GPS) procedures and an ILS plate that also supports a localiser approach, concentrating instrument access on selected alignments. Runway 10/28 is 1,825 ft longer than 02/20, so any aircraft requiring more than 3,525 ft has only the longer alignment available.

Coverage around Norfolk

Suffolk Executive and Chesapeake Regional each have chart sets equal in size to Hampton Roads Executive’s. Norfolk NS has slightly thinner coverage, while Norfolk NS (Chambers Field) and Norfolk International have notably broader sets. The Washington Sectional adds the wider visual and navigational context that the airport’s instrument procedures do not provide.
