Florence Regional’s procedure set serves all four ends of its two runways, so instrument coverage is not concentrated on one alignment or direction. RNAV (GPS) provides most of the approach options, while ILS, localiser and VOR procedures add conventional alternatives. The runways are close in length—6,000 ft and 6,502 ft—so changing alignment does not mean accepting a dramatically shorter strip.
Darlington County has the broadest published procedure coverage among the nearby fields, but its five charts still amount to only half Florence’s total. Marion County and Hartsville Regional are thinner again, while Dillon County has the sparsest set listed. The Charlotte Sectional adds the wider VFR depiction around Florence that the airport and procedure charts do not provide.
