Lubbock Preston Smith International’s procedure set is concentrated on arrivals: four of the six runway ends are served, with ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR options rather than a single approach family. That breadth provides several forms of published guidance, but coverage does not extend to every runway direction. Runway length varies sharply: 17R/35L at 11,500 ft is almost four times the length of 17L/35R, while 08/26 sits between them at 8,003 ft. Runway selection therefore changes the available distance materially.
The five listed nearby airports have only three or four published charts each, so none approaches KLBB’s depth of procedure coverage; Hale County has the broadest set among them. The Albuquerque and Dallas–Ft Worth sectionals add wider VFR context beyond the airport diagram and terminal procedures.
