Four approaches serve three of the four runway ends, so instrument coverage extends across both runway alignments but is not complete. Three are RNAV (GPS) procedures; the single VOR procedure is the set’s only conventional approach. The 8,199 ft runway provides 3,193 ft more pavement than 02/20, a substantial difference when required take-off or landing distance governs runway use.
Santa Fe Regional has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Taos Regional matches Las Vegas Municipal’s six-chart coverage. Los Alamos is thinner, and Angel Fire and Moriarty Municipal each have only half as many charts. The Albuquerque and Denver Sectionals add broader VFR context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.

CTAF 122.8. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.
Las Vegas Muni has 2 runways. The longest is 14/32 at 8,199 ft by 75 ft, asphalt. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.
No ILS is published. In total KLVS has 4 published instrument approaches, of which 3 are RNAV (GPS).
The field elevation is 6,877 ft. At that height the air is thin enough to matter: take-off and landing distances are longer than the same aircraft would need at sea level, and the effect worsens as temperature rises. The approach charts carry the altitudes that apply.
No — Las Vegas Muni has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
