Mojave’s three RNAV (GPS) approaches serve three of the airport’s six runway ends, leaving half without a published instrument approach. The runway lengths vary markedly: the 12,503 ft runway provides more than twice the distance of the 4,747 ft runway, making runway selection a material part of aircraft planning rather than a choice of alignment alone.
Edwards AFB and Palmdale USAF Plant 42 have similarly broad or broader procedure sets, while General William J Fox Airfield is closer to Mojave’s level of coverage. California City Municipal and Inyokern have much thinner sets. The Los Angeles Sectional adds broad-area visual context around Mojave and these neighbouring fields beyond the terminal focus of the instrument charts.
