El Centro NAF’s procedures are concentrated on arrivals: six approach plates serve three of the four runway ends, with three RNAV (GPS) procedures and one VOR procedure. One runway end therefore lacks a published approach, while the others have more varied coverage. The intersecting 08/26 and 12/30 layout provides two alignments, and even the shorter runway extends 6,825 ft; the 9,503 ft runway accommodates aircraft with greater runway-length requirements.
Jacqueline Cochran Regional has the broadest procedure set nearby, exceeding El Centro’s coverage. Imperial County and Borrego Valley have thinner sets, while Brawley Municipal and Cliff Hatfield Memorial are notably sparse. The Los Angeles and Phoenix sectionals provide broad VFR context, while the San Diego Terminal Area Chart adds a more detailed terminal-area view.
