Procedure coverage

Jacqueline Cochran Regional’s four approaches are divided evenly between RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures, but they serve only two of the airport’s four runway ends. Instrument coverage is therefore concentrated on half of the available directions rather than spread across both runways. Runway distance also differs sharply by alignment: 17/35 provides 8,500 ft, compared with 4,995 ft on 12/30. No airport diagram is published in this chart set.

Regional chart context

Bermuda Dunes has chart coverage broadly comparable with KTRM, while Palm Springs International has a substantially larger procedure set. Borrego Valley, Twentynine Palms and Hemet-Ryan are covered much more thinly. The Los Angeles and Phoenix sectionals provide wider VFR context, supplemented by the more detailed Los Angeles and San Diego terminal area charts.
