Instrument coverage

Paso Robles Muni has published approaches to only two of its four fixed-wing runway ends, concentrating instrument arrivals on half of the available directions. The four procedures are evenly divided between RNAV (GPS) and VOR approaches, providing both satellite-based and conventional coverage. With the two runways differing by 1,307 ft, any operation requiring more than 4,701 ft is confined to runway 01/19.

Regional chart context

San Luis Obispo County Regional and Santa Maria have chart sets comparable in breadth to Paso Robles, while Lemoore NAS has broader coverage. New Coalinga and Mesa Del Rey are much more lightly documented. The Los Angeles Sectional adds regional visual and airspace context beyond the airport diagram and terminal procedures.
