New Coalinga Municipal’s instrument provision is concentrated on a single RNAV (GPS) approach serving only one runway end. The opposite end, both ends of the second runway and the helipad have no published approach. Runway 12/30 provides twice the length of 01/19, making the shorter runway chiefly an alternative alignment rather than an equivalent option where available runway length is important.
Nearby procedure coverage varies sharply. Lemoore NAS and Paso Robles Municipal have substantially broader chart sets, while Hanford Municipal and Mesa Del Rey are slightly thinner than New Coalinga; Fresno Chandler Executive is closer in scale. Coverage by both the Los Angeles and San Francisco sectional charts adds wider VFR context beyond the narrowly focused instrument procedure set.
