Rock County’s instrument set is narrowly balanced: two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve two of the four runway ends, providing a published arrival procedure for half the available runway directions. The 4,698 ft concrete runway is more than twice the length of the 2,202 ft turf strip, so the two alignments differ materially in both published length and surface; the shorter strip is not a like-for-like counterpart.
