Red Oak’s two instrument approaches are both RNAV (GPS) procedures and serve two runway ends. That gives balanced arrival coverage by runway end, but no alternative approach type. The 5,100 ft concrete runway provides substantially more available length than either the 2,901 ft concrete runway or the 2,050 ft turf runway, making runway choice consequential for aircraft requiring more distance. No airport diagram is published.
Shenandoah, Schenck Field and Atlantic each match Red Oak’s four-chart set, while Corning’s two-chart coverage is thinner. Council Bluffs has the broadest nearby set with ten charts. The Omaha Sectional adds the wider visual context around Red Oak that the airport’s instrument procedures do not provide.
