Concentrated instrument coverage

Owosso Community has three approaches serving only two of its six runway ends, so instrument coverage is concentrated rather than spread across the three runway alignments. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures provide the main share, with a VOR approach adding a different form of guidance.

Runways and surrounding chart coverage

The 4,300 ft asphalt runway is substantially longer than either turf strip, both of which are close to 2,500 ft. Any aircraft requiring more than 2,509 ft of runway is therefore limited to the paved alignment by length alone. Among nearby fields, Livingston County/Spencer J Hardy has the broadest procedure set with 21 charts; Bishop International and Capital Region International also have appreciably more coverage, while Prices and Mason Jewett Field each have thinner four-chart sets. The Detroit Sectional adds wider regional VFR context beyond the terminal procedures.
