Instrument coverage

New Castle Muni’s instrument set is compact and entirely GPS-based: two RNAV approaches serve two of the airport’s four runway ends. Instrument coverage is therefore limited to half the available ends, with no alternative approach type represented. There is also no dedicated airport diagram. Runway length changes markedly between the two alignments: the 2,855 ft runway is 1,140 ft shorter than 05/23, so using that alignment substantially reduces the length available.

Wider chart context

Among the listed nearby fields, KYNG has the broadest chart coverage, followed by KBVI. KPJC is comparable with New Castle, while 4G4 and 29D have slightly thinner sets. The Detroit Sectional adds broad-area visual context; the Pittsburgh Terminal Area Chart supplies a more detailed terminal-area view absent from the instrument procedures.
