Ionia County’s compact instrument set provides two RNAV (GPS) approaches, each serving a different runway end. That gives instrument procedure coverage in two directions, but no alternative approach type. No airport diagram is published.
The two runways are nearly equal in length but offer different alignments and surfaces. The practical distinction is that aircraft requiring a paved runway are limited to 10/28, while 18/36 is turf. Nearby procedure coverage varies sharply: Gerald R Ford International and Capital Region International have much broader chart sets, whereas Greenville Municipal, Abrams Municipal and Hastings are comparably compact. The Chicago and Detroit sectional charts add wider VFR context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
