AFCAD Files For Aircraft Boneyards Volume 1

Desert aircraft boneyards come alive with custom AFCAD airport layouts for Kingman (KIGM), Phoenix-Goodyear (KGYR), and Marana/Pinal County (KMZJ), placing convincing static airliners and military types across ramp and storage areas. Built for FSX, it turns Arizona’s southwest storage fields into busy-looking graveyards that enhance VFR sightseeing and screenshots.

Three AFCADs for aircraft boneyards in the desert southwest Kingman, Phoenix-Goodyear and Marana/Pinal County, Arizona (AZ). By Erik Ingram.

As I'm sure a lot of you have figured out, the makers of FSX didn't do much in the way of recreating the various aircraft boneyards acorss the US southwest in Arizona, California, etc. (Funny though, that boneyard-ready aircraft are included as scenery objects :P) This will fix that. I have added various static aircraft to the boneyards in Kingman, AZ (IGM), Marana, AZ/Pinal County (MZJ) and Phoenix-Goodyear, AZ. Other airports, like the AMARG at Davis-Monthan AFB and Roswell, NM, will appear in Volume 2.

Installation:

  1. Copy the files 'KGYR_ADEX_ETI', 'KIGM_ADEX_ETI' and 'KMZJ_ADEX_ETI' and paste them in your Addon Scenery/scenery directory (AddonScenery/scenery/name/scenery or something like that).
  2. Activate this folder in FSX (Settings/scenery Library/Add Area/Navigate to above folder). This isn't necessary if you have done so previously for other AFCADs.
  3. Enjoy, and thanks for downloading!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D AFCAD file
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
