The package showcased here provides a freeware recreation of a classic mid-range jet wearing the timeless Aerolíneas Argentinas heritage paint scheme, designed by FFX/SGA and meticulously repainted by Matias Bagnato. It is fully compiled for FS2004 and contoured using native Gmax techniques to ensure the model is faithful to the real-world aircraft. Enthusiasts of historical liveries will find this rendition highly immersive.

Refined Aircraft Build

The developers have implemented Gmax modeling to achieve precise geometry throughout the airframe. Both the “flat” tail and “coned” tail variants are available, making it possible to choose the tailcone configuration commonly associated with the earlier MD-80 family. Besides this, integrated airstairs enable more realistic boarding procedures.

Advanced External Details

  • Retractable lighting: The landing lights retract to fit seamlessly within the wing structure, reflecting accurate deployment timing.
  • Exact light placement: All navigation and beacon lights match authentic positioning for the MD-80 series.
  • Wing and control surfaces: The model accurately represents the unique shape of the wing and flaps, with smooth movement animations.
  • Functional doors: Passenger and cargo hatches feature opening mechanisms, enhancing ground operations realism.

Notable Visual Enhancements

Throughout the fuselage, the developer team replicated iconic lines and curves, ensuring the paint aligns flawlessly with the body. The Aerolíneas Argentinas livery in its older format showcases period-specific markings, reflecting a distinctive era in Argentine aviation history.

Good download, flyes and works great. But uses the 737 cockpit and no virtual cockpit.
