The Kestrels embarked aboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) for a Western Pacific deployment in October 2004, participating in Operation UNIFIED ASSISTANCE. In March 2006, the Kestrels deployed with Carrier Air Wing TWO (CVW 2) aboard the LINCOLN for a 5 month WestPac. VFA-137 returned from deployment in August 2006.
