FSX Chatham Islands Scenery

Chatham Islands Airport Tuuta (NZCI) scenery recreates the misty Rekohu setting with custom terminal details, signage, and improved landclass, plus the Pitt Island Airstrip (NZCT) for regional hops. Built for FSX SP2, it includes a default-texture edition and an alternate version that requires the VLC mesh and landclass.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

(Tuuta) Airport (NZCI). Welcome to Chatham Islands Airport (Tuuta), located 10. 5 nm north-east of the village of Waitangi. This area's original name was "Rekohu", which means "Misty Skies". This package contains two separate NZCI sceneries, one for FSX SP2 default textures ( with a custom landclass), and one for FSX SP2 using the VLC (Vector Land Class) freeware mesh and landclass addon. Each separate scenery also contains the Pitt Island Airstrip (NZCT), with a different version for each. By Lawrie Roache.

This scenery was made for FSX SP-2, with the VLC (Vector Land Class) payware Scenery installed. (With the obvious exception of the "default" version). AIRPORT FACILITATOR X (AFX), by Flight One Software, and INSTANT SCENERY by Flight One Software were used in the making of this scenery.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
