Handcrafted Gmax buildings, VFR objects, AI traffic, ATC, animated windsocks, fuel trigger, 2D grass, and accurate dual PAPI integrate cleanly with VFR Germany and UTX Europe.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

First official beta development release of EDCJ Chemnitz Jahnsdorf by Sierra.Foxtrot-Design. Features: licensed actual aerial 40cm/px ground textures with night and seasonal variants; complete reconstruction of airport lighting with 3D objects; high resolution apron, taxiway and runway textures; FSX native AI traffic; animated windsocks; trees with manual season switcher; all buildings and objects handmade with Gmax; VFR objects; fuel trigger at gas station; 2D grass; working PAPI on both sides with the real slope angle; ATC; exact involvement with VFR Germany and UTX Europe. Installation:

  • In case you have a different version of Chemnitz-Jahnsdorf installed, please disable or delete this version in the Scenery Lbrary.
  • The folder "Flight Simulator X" contains the default FSX folder structure i.e. copy the folder "Chemnitz-Jahnsdorf X" and its contents in the parent folder "Addon Scenery" to "Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery". Just as it is with the effect files in the "Effects" folder. Please copy these files to "Flight Simulator X\Effects".
  • Start your FSX, go to Scenery Library and choose Add area. In the browser window select the folder "Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\Chemnitz-Jahnsdorf X" and confirm everything with ok.
  • Restart your FSX, that's it.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
