FS2004 Royal Aircraft Establishment DC-3

Royal Aircraft Establishment Douglas DC-3 KG661 “Portpatrick Princess” brings the May 1971 delivery paint scheme to FS2004, with updated alpha-channel textures that eliminate ghosting on the RAE lettering and a finish tailored to Mark Beaumont’s bare-metal base. Requires DC3_4TKF.ZIP by Mark Beaumont for correct model mapping.

Version 1.A.

*REVISED ALPHA CHANNEL* to remove ghosting of the RAE lettering. If you downloaded the previous version then simply unzip and overwrite the texture file. If not, then follow the instructions below!

This repaint draws inspiration from the photo book "testing colours' by Adrian M Balch.

It is specifically made to wrap around Mark Beaumont's excellent rework of the DC3. (See link below for the files you need)

I have also used his most excellent bare metal skin with which to apply the new paint scheme.

Rivet counters out there will note that I have not applied the name "Portpatrick Princess" to the port side front blue cheat line due to mirroring problems. Other than that, I think you'll agree that the repaint is a pretty reasonable job.
Files required:

DC3_4TKF.ZIP by Mark Beaumont.
DC3PAINT.ZIP by Mark Beaumont.

Installation:

Unzip the file and paste the texture folder into your Douglas_DC3_IFR_4TK file in the main aircraft directory.

Remember! You will need Mark Beaumont's reworked aitcraft file DC3_4TKF.ZIP! I have not tried this skin with the default DC3 (yet).
