FSX Mission--Mountain Soaring

Mountain Soaring v2 puts the DG-808S sailplane into a beginner-friendly thermal challenge from Sion to Geneva across the Swiss Alps in FSX, using cumulus clouds to help spot lift. Expect about 70 minutes of ridge and thermal flying, a restored flight plan, and a satisfying reward for a safe arrival at Geneva.

There will be a reward for a safe landing at Geneva. This is a beginner level mission. The time to complete will be 70 minutes. This version is the complete mission and fixes the missing flight plan. How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
