FSX Captain Sim Boeing 707-300 Lighting Fix

Captain Sim’s Boeing 707-300 gets a brighter, more usable night environment with improved passenger cabin and virtual cockpit lighting, helping instruments and interior details read naturally after dark in FSX. The tweak replaces the aircraft’s night texture so evening departures and late arrivals feel closer to the real jet’s warm glow.

This is my second file for the Captain Sim 707-300 for FSX. This file fixes the dim lighting of the passenger cabin and cockpit at night. By Gene Ferrier.

Install the b707_7_LM file into the main Captain Sim 707-300 file. Not in the 707-300(c) file below it. IT DOES NOT GO IN THE MAIN TEXTURE FILE EITHER! It goes into the "NIGHT" sub-folder in the Texture Folder!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
