WestJet’s McDonnell Douglas MD-11 brings a classic widebody to FSX with crisp airline textures, a matching panel and sound set, and an updated flight model by Mike Stone refined with enhancements by David Grindele. Integrated A2A 3D Lights and Redux effects add convincing night and landing illumination in the virtual cockpit.

This aircraft model has been modified with A2A 3D Lights, Redux codes, textures, panels, sound and in some cases includes paint kits. All aircraft are click and fly, they self install. This flight model was created by Mike Stone. Modifications by David Grindele.

This aircraft has been tested with FSX, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows7 32bit with no known issues or problems at time of release and has been scanned for viruses and malware and is virus and malware free.

As with any 3rd party add-on always back up your files. I assume no responsibility for Computer Crashes or the Blue Screen of death. You use this add-on at your own risk.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Love this plane, the cockpit, the sounds, and textures BUT.. this plane struggles to maintain airspeed above 25,000 feet regardless of fuel/payload settings. Currently relegated to very short haul.
