FSX Iris F-15 C/D/J Update

The Iris F-15 C/D/J freeware package for FSX streamlines the fleet to clean models and three repaints while refining flight dynamics with revised contact points and corrected wing and tail placement. Cockpit usability improves with a trim gauge, gear and speedbrake lights, flaps indication, and an additional autopilot option.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This is an update for FSX of the freeware Iris F-15 C/D/J. All models other than the clean ones have been eliminated. Most of the textures have been remoed so there are only three paints left. The flight dynamics have been updated, which included changing all the contact points as well as the positions of the wings, horizontal tail and the vertical tail. A trim gauge was added to the 2D cockpit, also the gear lights were added from the VC, a speed brake light, a flaps gauge, and another autopilot. This is the whole aircraft, minus the previously mentioned files. By Bob Chicilo.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft folder to the main FS airplanes folder. Copy the effects and the gauges to the main FS effects and gauges folder, no need to overwrite anything already there. The textures in the effects folder go in the texture folder inside the main FS effects folder.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
