The North American F-86 F Sabre was the most capable western fighter of the early to mid-1950s.

F-86 Sabre in flight in P3Dv4.This swept wing, single-engine jet was the most important western aircraft of the Korean War and often tangled with Russian-made MiG-15s over the infamous “MiG Alley”.

It was a hard struggle not only for the Korean sky but also between two excellent aircraft builders of the East and West. In addition to its primary role as an air-to-air fighter, the Sabre could also carry bombs and air-to-ground rockets to attack ground targets.

FSX/Prepar3D v3, v4 model by: A.F. Scrub.

Effects:

  • On startup there is automatic engine smoke.
  • Then follow the exhaust flames at 65%.
  • Smoke trail when engine is running at 90% .
  • Wing vortex effect appears by default at 2.5g or quick roll rate.

Installation:

  • Unzip " F-86F Sabre" into a temporary file and move the "F-86F Sabre" folder into the main Aircraft directory.
  • Say YES...when asked if the gauges sources should be trusted. If you say no....most of the gauges are not going to work !
  • Put the all gauges into your Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator \gauges folder.
  • Copy the effects into the Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator \effects folder.

IMPORTANT:

This model is native FSX and P3Dv4 and doesn't work in FS2004.

GN Carpenter, if you have the Steam Version, the main aircraft directory is located in C:/Program Files/steamapps/common/FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes

"Unzip ' F-86F Sabre" into a temporary file and move the 'F-86F Sabre' folder into the main Aircraft directory.' The "main aircraft directory"? Where is that? There is no "main aircraft" directory within the MSFX program folder. Were might that "main aircraft directory" be located?
