A modified, brighter, texture to make the sun look better. Does not include lens flare. By Eitan Daniel and Vincent van Veen.

The fact that you're reading this means you have downloaded the new and improved Sunmod V2. The biggest change from Sunmod to Sunmod V2 is the fact that I have decided to drop the version with a lensflare. The main reason for this is that the primary objective of this new version was to create a brighter more realistic sun for FS, and FS didn't display this very well and basically I was forced to drop the Lensflare version. And on the other hand how many times have you seen a lensflare looking at the sun directly instead of using photo or videocameras?

As said before the main reason for this new version was the lacking of brightness in the original. I hope you like this new version and make many great screenshots with it and feel that the sun is one step closer to total realism.

This file was created using freeware files by Eitan Daniel, all credits in creating these files go to him. I just changed them.

Install:

1. Copy the suneffect.cfg to your main FS9 directory (Microsoft GamesFlight Simulator 9).
2. Copy the textures to your main texture directory (Microsoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Texture).
3. For best results turn OFF sun glare.
4. Enjoy your flight, but remember to put your sunglasses on!

You can choose your own corona1.bmp file, it's very important this file is in your texture directory else your sun won't look good. I recommend using the default corona1.bmp, however you are free to experiment with this. If you have FE2004 installed you can use the Corona1.bmp file which comes with the package.
