Catalonian Coast scenery refreshes the Barcelona and Costa Brava shoreline for FSX with a fully corrected coastline, enhanced offshore water coloring, and refined sea zones. It adds 61 coastal towns, 123 beaches, and 59 ports and marinas complete with landing stages and ships, plus updated offshore landscapes.

Description

Catalonia is with Barcelona, the Costa Brava and many other places and sights a popular tourist aim primarily for European.

The standard scenery of FSX in Spain and therefore also Catalonia has been improved strongly. But there are areas which urgently required a revision, though. So the shoreline was modelled by Catalonia only roughly (see the pictorial material). In addition, many coastal places etc. are missing in the standard. With this scenery expansion which will contain the whole Catalonia in the final construction stage, the coast of Catalonia has been improved in a first step.

The following has been done

correction of the complete coastal line of Catalonia
insert of 61 towns and villages along the coast
insert of 123 beaches
insert of 59 ports/marinas with landing stages and ships
modification of offshore landscapes
inking the offshore sea zones

Installation

Option 1

Unzip *.BGL files to. .Microsoft Flight simulator X/Addon Scenery/Scenery

Option 2

Unzip *.BGL files to . .Microsoft Flight simulator X/Addon Scenery/Catalonia/Scenery
The folders "...Catalonia/Scenery " must be created before.
The new scenery must then be included within FSX.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
