Beriev Be-200 Altair brings a multirole amphibious jet to FSX, suited to water bombing, search and rescue, maritime patrol, and passenger or cargo transport. The package includes a detailed exterior model with a functional 2D panel, plus effects support, and represents the type’s 12,000 m³ water load or up to 72 passengers.

Beriev Be-200 Altair v1.1 multirole amphibious aircraft. The Beriev Be-200 Altair is a multi-role amphibious aircraft designed by the Beriev Aircraft Company and assembled by Irkut. Marketed for a variety of uses, such as fighting fires, the SAR, maritime patrol and transport of people and things, it has a capacity of 12,000 m3 of water or up to 72 passengers. Package includes aircraft model with 2D panel; no VC. By Massimo Taccoli and Dennis Seeley. (See also BE200FSX_FIX.ZIP).

To install this model into FSX -sp2 only no DirectX10 follow this simple procedure:

Extract the here provided zip file in a temporary folder copy the folder Beriev Be-200 into the Airplane folder of FSX. Copy the contents of effect folder (two files) into the effect folder of FSX.

Then launch FSX and you'll find the Beriev Be-200 model in the Select aircraft menu under Beriev as aircraft manufacturer.

FSX / P3D Complete with Base Model

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Does 3-d cockpit work? When I press F9 I don’t see 3D cockpit. I can use 2d panels only!

    Are you working on an updated version that will be compatible with MSFS 2000? It would be AWESOME to fly it in the new game!
