Rothwell Grass Strip brings a detailed UK farm-style airfield near Kettering, Northamptonshire to FSX, aligned for Just Flight/Horizon VFR scenery with refined terrain, ambient field sounds, and light road traffic for low-and-slow touring. It requires the A Day on the Farm series files, Total.zip, Rwy12, UK VFR, and optional NFSU.ZIP for audio.

Rothwell Grass Strip UK, situated near Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. A companion to `A Day on the Farm series. You must have downloaded ADOTF.ZIP, ADOTF-UP.ZIP, ADFARM-2.ZIP, WDYEZSRP.ZIP, TOTAL.ZIP and Rwy12 and UK VFR add-ons. If you would like sound you will have to download NFSU.ZIP as well. INSTALLATION

YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED A DAY ON THE FARM and A DAY ON THE FARM-2 FSX for all the necessary scenery and texture files,plus if you haven't downloaded the series of my farm strip addons you will need to download Total.zip plus you will need UKVFR Addon and RWY12.

Aligned for Justflight/horizon VFR SCENERY.

Unzip the zip file rothwell.zip into an empty directory.

Copy all the scenery and associated text files into the main `A Day on the Farm scenery folder.

Airfield can be selected from your World-Goto Airport menu.

I have incuded extracts (with permission) from Bryan Lockyears book ` FARM STRIPS AND PRIVATE AIRFIELDS' guide I have also include the ommitted airfield guide from my last update Crossland Moor.

In this latest update, all of the terrain settings are as accurate as possible, all the fields have sound (you will have to download the `Sounds Update' Seperately) and now you also have road traffic, its not brilliant but there's only so many hours in the day.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
