FSX Stewart Airport Scenery

Stewart Airport (CZST) in British Columbia gets a more faithful layout with refined coastlines, rivers, roads, and landclass around the field, plus select objects to strengthen local atmosphere. Built for FSX, it requires Ultimate Terrain Canada and focuses on correcting the default scenery for cleaner VFR navigation and better regional immersion.

These files are freeware and have been tested using Ultimate Terrain Canada FSX only.

I've never been to Stewart, however I'm planning a visit there next summer sometime. The default rendition of CZST is pretty poor. Even with the addition of UT Canada it's still not very good. As a result, I have made many corrections to coastlines, rivers, roads, the airport itself, landclass textures, and I've thrown in a few objects.

I think this version compared to what was there is much more acceptable. Perhaps after I get a chance to visit the town and have some more time to spare, I'll make even more corrections.

Many thanks to all the 3rd party developers out there who through their expertise, help make it possible for designers like myself to make the flightsim world a more accurate and fun place to fly.

As usual, to install, simply add the bgl files to your addon scenery/scenery directory then restart fsx.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
