FSX Natashquan Scenery

Natashquan Airport (CYNA) scenery brings Quebec’s Côte-Nord to life with custom buildings and ground detail based on the author’s 2009 photo reference, including a rotating beacon for added realism. Designed for FSX and also includes a Flight Simulator 2004 version; compatible with M. Gilles Gauthier mesh.

This scene was carried out with the few photographs that I took during the summer 2009. However I did not receive the permission to go on the ground. Therefore, certain frontages of the buildings do not represent reality completely.

Installation:

1* You decompress the CYNA_RD.zip file.

2* You have two choices, the file CYNA2K4 which will be useful for Flight Simulator 9 and file CYNAFSX for Flight Simulator X.

3* You select the good file for your Flight Simulator.

4* You place the scene in your Flight Simulator on the site of your scenes (Addon Scenery, Scenery or others according to your management).

5* You activate your scene in your Flight Simulator.

Note: This scene is compatible with Mesh de M.Gilles Gauthier.I thank the participation for M.Pierre Gallant for the installation of the rotary headlight. I thank, M.Gilles Gauthier for the cover of the ground of the area of Natashquan (see photo herewith).

This scene is a FREEWARE. This scene can be distributed freely as a long time as its distribution is FREE and that all the files are present and would be modified in no way.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
