FSX Lowry AFB Scenery

Lowry AFB Scenery, Illinois. Lowry AFB was built to replace Chanute AFB (now Rantoul, IL) as a flight training field. It was eventually reduced to a non-flying base and subsequently closed, leaving only two hangars for a museum. This is another attempt to revive closed or unknown airports in the US. Lowry AFB was built to replace Chanute AFB (now Rantoul, IL)as a flight training field. It was eventually reduced to a non-flying base and subsequently closed, leaving only 2 hangars for a museum. This is another Sharkey attempt to revive closed or unknown airports in the US.

A couple years back, I ran into a website called "Abandoned and Little Known Airfields" by Paul Freeman. There I saw airports that I had not seen in many years. In some cases, I had only seen their ruins. It inspired me to create these airports in FS. This site has become my inspiration and reference "jumping off" point in a lot of my designs.

INSTALLATION:
All but one file go into /Addon Scenery/Scenery;
AFX_KLOW_ALT.bgl goes into /Scenery/World/Scenery

That file is a Flatten file that will be needed to - Oh, I don't know... flatten.

ISSUES:
None, other than I inserted an airport into the city of Denver.
