Charleston AFB and Charleston International Airport (KCHS) gets a detailed FSX makeover with expanded military and cargo parking, including C-17 stands and hot cargo areas, plus jetways, gate assignments, and refreshed GA and military ramp layouts. Updated taxi signage and realistic LAHSO runway markings improve ground operations and routing.

Charleston AFB / International Airport (KCHS), South Carolina (SC). A complete makeover of the Charleston AFB / Int'l Airport using FSXPlanner. Adds all the C-17 parking as well as visiting military and cargo spots on the airbase. Also adds jetways and gate assignments to the terminal ramp as well as GA and military parking to the GA ramps. Changed taxi signs, added LAHSO markings to the runway intersections as they appear on the field. By Ryan Cobb.

Charleston AFB Scenery.

This is a complete rework of the Charleston AFB based on stock buildings, eveything is dead accurate except for the limitations imposed on FSX. I rebuilt it using the awesome FSXPlanner 2.0. If you find anything I missed or overlooked, please do not hesitate to let know. If there is any major issues I will update it, it adds all the parking for the C-17's, hot cargo areas, terminal assignments, jetways and GA parking. Dont send me an email telling me that their are fighters on the GA ramp, their supposed to be there. We have F-18's come from Beaufort MCAS all the time and thats where the park overnight. Enjoy the Charleston AFB, its as real as it can get and still be free.. By Ryan Cobb.

Just drop the .BGL into the following location, or where ever you have it: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\Scenery.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
