FSX Nunavut Landscape Scenery

Nunavut Landscape scenery refreshes Canada’s High Arctic with detailed LOD10 terrain mesh, accurate land cover, and reworked water polygons, rivers, streams, roads, and shorelines to better frame remote airfields. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it also adds the missing Mary River runway and includes altitude adjustments that align airports with the new terrain.

Installation:

1) Extract the zipped files to a temporary directory, making sure that the "use folder names" option is enabled.

When the files are unzipped to the temporary directory you should see a new folder, called "Nunavut_Landscape", with three subfolders: "Scenery", "Texture" and "WorldScenery".

2) Move the files from "WorldScenery" subfolder in the FSX subfolder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery\.

These files fit the airport altitude with the new mesh.

***** Don't forget to delete these files if you uninstall Nunavut_Landscape scenery.******

3) Move the "Nunavut_Landscape" folder wherever you keep your add-on sceneries.

4) Activate the "Nunavut_Landscape" scenery in Flight Simulator X Scenery Library.

Informations:

Included runway : Mary River (CMR2 - N71 19 27 W79 21 25) missing in FSX.

If you use FSX Canadian Forces Station Alert scenery (canalert.zip) design by Bernhard W., remove Alert_Road_OBX.BGL and CVX_Alert_Road.BGL from my scenery.

1- Microdem, version 12. Microcomputer mapping program written by Professor Peter Guth.

2- SBuilderX (Version 3.13)

3- Airport Design Editor FSX - ScruffyDuck Software

4- In-flight screenshots with JabScreen

5- Animated images - Jasc Animation Shop version 3.10

These sceneries are released as Freeware and shall remain as such.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
