Hopsten AB V-1 recreates the former Luftwaffe base near Rheine, Germany, with accurate taxiways, extensive parking, and a layout that supports realistic ramp and circuit operations as used by units flying the F-84, F-104G, and F-4F Phantom II. Built with stock objects for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

A twin-engine jet aircraft flies above a rural airport with a single runway, surrounded by fields, roads, and scattered trees.

Hopsten AB V-1. Hopsten AB is located in northwestern Germany near the city of Rheine/Westfalia. From 1961 until 2005 it hosted the JaboG 36 "W" (FBW 36), JG 72 "W" (FW 72) and the Flying Training Center F-4F. The "W" stands for Westfalia. In 2006 the base was closed. The last flight took place on 20th Dec. 2006 when the last three F-4F Phantom II (37+01 = SN 72-1111, 37+11 = SN 72-1121 and 38+60 = SN 72-1270) left the airbase. The FBW 36 "W" started flying in 1961 with F-84 Thunderstreak, got the F-104G Starfighter in 1966 and finally converted to F-4F Phantom II in 1976. This scenery is done with ADE X 1.50 and object from stock. It has lots of parking spots and you can taxi everywhere as it was in real. By Uwe Steenweg.

Installation:

- Unzip the file anywhere.
- Move the content of the Folder Hopsten AB V-1 (2 files) to your FSX /Addon Scenery /scenery Folder and have fun.

Remove:

Just delete the files from the folder metioned above.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
