FSX Kyushu J7W1 Shinden 1946 Three Pack

Kyushu J7W1 Shinden takes on a compelling 1946 “what-if” look with three historically inspired repaint schemes, covering the 244th Fighter Group, Metropolitan Defense wing, and an ATAIU-captured airframe in Saigon. Designed for FSX, it includes updated texture entries and retains the original prototype paint, and requires Tim Conrad’s J7W1 Shinden model.

Three repaints for Tim Conrad's J7W1 Shinden (Magnificent Lightning), more 'what ifs' for 1946 period, had the war ground on. The original texture was used as template, textures for 244th fighter group, Metropolitan Defense wing, and a captured Shinden at the Alied Tactical Air Intelligence Unit South East Asia, Saigon, 1946. a Revised config file is provided, with no changes other than the three new textures added, and the original prototype paint. The model is avaliable at Sim OutHouse. For FSX only. By Mike Barnes.

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
