Aircraft Background

The Cessna 208B Caravan is widely recognized as a single-engine turboprop known for its remarkable Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) capabilities. Operators often deploy it in environments requiring versatile performance, especially in scenic yet remote settings. Sounds Air, known for its commuter services in New Zealand, commonly relies on reliable aircraft like the Caravan to connect smaller towns and regions. This repaint aims to replicate those authentic details, bringing a piece of real-world operations into your simulator.

Installation Steps and Configuration

  1. Locate and copy the Texture.SOUNDSAIR_BLUE folder into the following path: ...SimObjectsAirplanesC208B within your Flight Sim X installation directory.

  1. Confirm everything is saved, then load Microsoft Flight Simulator X to select this new Sounds Air livery.

Note on Base Model

This package includes only the repaint texture. To use it, you will need the default Cessna 208B Caravan already installed in FSX, or you can obtain the freeware base model from the Fly Away Simulation mod library if necessary.
