Convair 600, a conversion from a Convair 240 aircraft with the original piston engines replaced with Rolls-Royce Dart turboprop engines. The CV-600 first flew with Central Airlines on 30 November 1965. The CV-600 aircraft that flew with Air Metro Airways was configured as a forty passenger airliner. In August 2006 a single Convair 600 aircraft remains in airline service, with Rhoades Aviation. Created with FSDS2.10 by John B. Loney, Jr.

ABOUT THE DESIGN:

Since I am not a flight dynamics specialist, the flight dynamics for this design is not entirely accurate. The aircraft is very fast, so in order to keep within the real parameters of speed, you should throttle back as not to exceed the cruising speed of 251 kts. The aircraft will reach it's maximum ceiling of 19,700 ft.

The panel is the default King Air panel.

The sound is the Embraer-120 Soundpackage By Aaron R. Swindle (Skysong Soundworks).

Enjoy this fun design.

INSTALLATION:

For FSX, unzip the file Convair600fsx to a temporary folder and move the folder Convair 600 v1_1 to the airplanes folder in the SimObjects folder in FSX. You're done! Go fly.

THANKS TO:

Aaron R. Swindle for his Embraer E120 sound.

Known Problems:

There may be some paint blemishes, but it doesn't affect the fun of flying this craft.

This aircraft is freeware. You do not have my permission to make any monetary gain from this aircraft. It started out as freeware and it shall remain freeware.

This aircraft may be repainted and distributed to the above mentioned websites as long as the original readme file is included. You can also modify the flight dynamics of this aircraft.

I do not accept any responsibility for any damage to any system as a result of using this aircraft. To the best of my knowledge, there is no copyright infringement associated with this file.

Have fun and enjoy.
