Does the Frankfurt city scenery replace EDDF Airport?
No, Frankfurt city scenery improves the surroundings but does not replace EDDF's terminals, parking stands, taxiways or runway layout.
The mistake we see most often is treating every package that mentions Frankfurt as an airport replacement. A true EDDF airport package should explicitly describe changes to the apron, terminals, jetways, stands, taxi signs, ground markings or airport layout.
If your simulator edition or installed content already includes a detailed first-party EDDF, compare it with any freeware replacement before removing it. Keeping the city package alongside one airport package is usually sensible; stacking two airport packages is not.
Airport scenery also does not normally update instrument procedures or navigation data. If ATC, an ILS or a flight plan disagrees with the visible taxiway or runway layout, the scenery and navigation data may represent different revisions of the airport.
