For Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC, CloudSurf Asia Simulations’ native WSSS Changi package is our preferred starting point where a compatible build is available. Add a separate Singapore landmarks pack for the Marina Bay skyline. On consoles, use a Marketplace WSSS release that explicitly supports your simulator version; otherwise keep the default airport.
Which WSSS scenery should I choose?
Choose CloudSurf Asia’s native-MSFS Changi package first if its available build explicitly supports your edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator. It provides airport-specific WSSS modelling without the compatibility problems caused by installing scenery made for an older simulator.

Does Changi scenery include Singapore city?
Most WSSS airport packages do not provide a complete Singapore city upgrade. Their coverage normally concentrates on the terminals, aprons, taxiways, airport hotels, cargo areas and nearby objects, while a city landmarks package improves Marina Bay, the central skyline, port and recognisable approach scenery.
For the strongest result, install and test the airport alone before adding city scenery. Check whether both packages model Jewel Changi Airport, because duplicated models there can produce flickering surfaces or overlapping buildings.
Will FSX or Prepar3D Changi scenery work in MSFS?
No—FSX and Prepar3D scenery should not be copied into the MSFS Community folder. The shared .bgl extension can be misleading: legacy installers, package structures, models and materials are not directly compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
For example, our older Singapore Changi download for FSX and Prepar3D-era simulators is useful only for those supported platforms. It is not the MSFS scenery recommended above.
An MSFS 2020 package may load in MSFS 2024, but loading successfully is not proof of full compatibility. Jetways, terrain, lighting, materials or package dependencies may still fail, so prefer a release whose developer explicitly confirms MSFS 2024 support.
How should I install WSSS without breaking the airport?
- Confirm the platform. PC packages may use the
Communityfolder, while console users are restricted to content distributed through the simulator’s in-sim system. - Install one airport replacement. Do not keep two packages that both replace WSSS, even if one is described as an enhancement.
- Test Changi by itself. Check terminal placement, runway elevations, gate positions, jetways, taxiway markings and night lighting before adding city scenery.
- Add the Singapore landmarks package. Repeat the same flight and inspect Jewel, the airport perimeter and terrain between Changi and the city.
- Restart the simulator after changes. Returning to the main menu does not reliably rebuild every scenery element.

Why are there duplicate terminals or broken taxiways?
Duplicate buildings and distorted ground usually mean that two packages are editing WSSS or its surrounding terrain. Remove every Changi package except the one being tested, then restore other scenery individually.
- Two terminals or control towers: duplicate WSSS airport packages.
- Flickering Jewel or skyline objects: overlapping airport and city scenery.
- Pink or invisible objects: a missing library or dependency.
- Raised aprons or trenches: conflicting terrain or airport elevation data.
- Wrong gates or taxiway names: an outdated scenery layout or mismatch with the active navigation data.

What makes paid Changi scenery worth buying?
A paid WSSS package should improve operationally useful detail, not merely add a large terminal interior. We would compare accurate gate numbering, taxiway layout, working jetways, apron markings, approach lighting, night textures, terrain blending and demonstrated support for the intended MSFS version.
Detailed interiors are attractive during a walk-around but can consume resources that matter more on final approach. For most PC users, begin with the compatible CloudSurf Asia WSSS package, add Singapore city landmarks only if low-level approaches matter, and replace that setup with paid scenery only when it offers a clear improvement in airport accuracy and support.
