Where can I download FS2004 Vueling and BA A320 liveries?

Adam McEnroe
In short

Download Vueling and British Airways Airbus A320 liveries for FS2004, match each repaint to the correct model, and fix installation problems.

Search our FS2004 freeware library for Vueling and British Airways Airbus A320 liveries, and match the repaint to its intended model before installing it. For a flyable aircraft, start with the iFDG A320 Mega Pack; the dedicated British Airways download is for AIS-AI traffic and requires the separate Airbus Twins base package.

Where should I download each FS2004 A320 livery?

The right download depends on whether you want a flyable A320 or an aircraft for AI traffic.

For Vueling or flyable British Airways variants, begin with the iFDG collection containing more than 120 complete A320 liveries. Check its included-aircraft list for the exact airline scheme you want; textures supplied for this model should not be transferred to an unrelated A320.

To find a separate Vueling repaint, search our freeware aircraft downloads for FS2004 Vueling A320. Choose only a file that names the same base model and engine variant as your installed aircraft.

For British Airways AI traffic, use the British Airways CFM texture for the AIS-AI Airbus Twins. This is a repaint rather than a self-contained aircraft and requires the base package identified as ABTWNS1.ZIP.

Which A320 base model does the repaint need?

An FS2004 A320 livery works only with the model for which its textures were mapped.

Before downloading, check the description or included readme for three details:

  • Aircraft model: an iFDG texture belongs on the corresponding iFDG aircraft, while an AIS-AI texture belongs on its AIS-AI base model.
  • Engine variant: CFM and IAE models may use different geometry or texture mapping. The British Airways AIS-AI download specifically identifies the CFM version.
  • Intended role: flyable and AI aircraft are not interchangeable packages, even when both depict an Airbus A320.

A texture-only archive normally lacks a complete model folder, panel, sounds and flight dynamics. That is the clearest sign that a separately installed base aircraft is required.

How do I install an A320 livery in FS2004?

Install a complete aircraft as its own folder, but merge a texture-only repaint into the precise base aircraft named by its documentation.

  1. Extract the archive outside FS2004. Do not install directly from the compressed file. Read the supplied instructions before moving anything.
  2. Identify the package type. A complete package normally contains aircraft.cfg, an AIR file and model, panel, sound and texture folders. A repaint usually contains a texture folder and a replacement [fltsim.x] entry.
  3. Install a complete package. Copy its top-level aircraft folder into Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft. Avoid an extra nested folder such as Aircraft\A320\A320\aircraft.cfg.
  4. Install a texture-only repaint. Back up the base aircraft's aircraft.cfg, copy the new texture.name folder beside its existing textures, then append the supplied [fltsim.x] block.
  5. Check the references. Number each [fltsim.x] section uniquely and consecutively. A setting such as texture=vueling must match texture.vueling; model=cfm must match the appropriate model folder, and sim= must reference the installed AIR file without its extension.
  6. Reload FS2004. Restarting the simulator forces the aircraft list to refresh, then look under the manufacturer, type and variation specified in the new configuration entry.

Why doesn't the A320 livery appear in FS2004?

A missing repaint is usually caused by an invalid [fltsim.x] entry or installation against the wrong A320 model.

  • Nothing appears in the aircraft selector: check for duplicate title= values, broken section numbering, an incorrect sim= reference or a misplaced nested aircraft folder.
  • The aircraft is white or has missing sections: the repaint may be mapped for another model, or it may depend on common base textures that are absent.
  • The wrong engines or exterior parts appear: correct the model= value and confirm that the repaint matches the CFM or IAE variant.
  • The archive contains only DDS textures: it was probably prepared for a newer simulator rather than FS2004, which expects compatible FS2004 texture formats.
  • The British Airways aircraft never appears as traffic: a repaint does not create an AI schedule. The AI traffic file must reference the exact title= value from that aircraft's configuration entry.

The AIS-AI British Airways repaint may be exposed in the aircraft selector, but it is designed for computer-controlled traffic and may lack a practical panel, sounds or player-oriented flight dynamics. Use a complete iFDG aircraft or another repaint explicitly marked as flyable when you want to pilot the livery yourself.
